Insulation is the conventional method for preventing moisture from condensing on the underside of a metal roof. But there’s a simpler AND much more economical solution—one that costs around 30% of what insulation material and labor would be.

CondenStop is a polyester felt-like layer applied to your Wick metal roof panels during fabrication. When CondenStop is combined with Wick’s standard (and optional) ventilation products, your pole barn gains advantages like these:

Drip-free roof performance
Cooler interiors during mid-day heat
An additional layer to help fight interior roof corrosion from corrosive vapors

You understand that barndominium/shouse pricing is comparable to studwall home construction, particularly those with traditional 2-3 car garages and basements. Interior finishes are the same in either building type, and the advantages of a barndominium/shouse largely go away when the garage/shop space is modest and a basement is required. In many cases, you can expect to pay the same as studwall construction (i.e., somewhere between $175 - $250 per square foot depending on your market).
