Condensation Control
Controlling Condensation Inside Your Building
When the temperature and humidity conditions reach the dew point moisture condenses on the underside of your uninsulated metal roof. If there is a lot of condensation, drops of water form and start to fall causing damage to the contents below. The traditional method for dealing with condensation is to try and insulate the roof so that the temperature on the inside roof panel never reaches the dew point.
DRIPSTOP is a different way of dealing with the condensation on uninsulated metal roofs in a simpler, more economical way. Here are some advantages of DRIPSTOP:
- Money saving - up to 50% versus other condensation control materials
- Durability - DRIPSTOP anti-condensation membrane is not susceptible to ripping, tearing or deterioration like standard insulation and vapor barriers
- Easy to clean with hose or pressure washers
- Reduces interior noise up to 20%
- Compliments the color of Wick's inside steel coating
How is it applied?
DRIPSTOP membrane is self-adhering and is applied to the metal roof panel in the roll forming process. As a result DRIPSTOP arrives at the building site already in place and set to be installed with the roofing panels immediately. The membrane is resistant to aging, and also provides an additional inside layer of protection for your metal roof.
